Redruth Radio is pleased to share the news of the official announcement today, that we were successful in our recent application to OFCOM and that the station has been granted a community FM license! Work will now start on transforming the station from an online only broadcast to a true FM service. Funding is being sought for the purchase and set up of the transmitter and relay equipment. Sponsors, investors, advertisers and the local population are asked to help get behind the campaign to get Redruth on air. It is anticipated that the station will turn it’s transmitter on as part of the town St Piran celebrations next year with an easy to remember “go live” date of 03/03/13. Win a pair of tickets to the opening night of Miracle Theatres’ TIN – a heady mix of epic theatre, multimedia magic and top notch singing! Bringing you the first ever Kernow King quiz “Where am I to?”. DJ Heller and the pasty loving Cornishman himself are guaranteed to entertain you for 2 hours of banter, humour and top notch music. Our schedule continues to grow with more presenters taking to the airwaves and some existing ones shifting about a bit, read on for what’s happening… This year the St Piran festival celebraitions in Redruth get bigger and better! Redruth Radio and all the dedicated volunteer team wish you a very special and peaceful Seasonal period and an exciting and wonderful new year for 2012… January 2012 sees Redruth Radio start it’s new term of training programmes for the community to take part in radio training. Following last years successful training programmes we will be continuing to deliver opportunitties for the local community to partake in structured training around radio and radio production… The schedule for Redruth Radio continues to gather pace with another addition to the programme roster, new volunteer presenter Ewan Broom joins the team with his classic rock show Red Rock which you can find on air every Friday between 10am and 12pm. |
