Redruth Radio announces award of OFCOM community FM radio licence

Redruth Radio is pleased to share the news of the official announcement today, that we were successful in our recent application to OFCOM and that the station has been granted a community FM license!

Work will now start on transforming the station from an online only broadcast to a true FM service. Funding is being sought for the purchase and set up of the transmitter and relay equipment. Sponsors, investors, advertisers and the local population are asked to help get behind the campaign to get Redruth on air.

It is anticipated that the station will turn it’s transmitter on as part of the town St Piran celebrations next year with an easy to remember “go live” date of 03/03/13.
